I spent nearly two decades in the corporate world, focusing on my passion to help people. I held roles in customer service, patient care, management, operations, and human resources in various industries such as education and healthcare.
I’ve always had a soft spot for underrepresented and underserved communities. I was not satisfied navigating the dysfunctional systems in the workplace, and I was constantly searching for a solution to the unfair treatment that still plagues the working world. I decided to leave my job to give my life meaning and pursue my destiny: Helping others find theirs!
Don’t let your fate dictate your destiny. You have the power to make choices today that will impact your tomorrow. And that’s how I reached where I am now – founder of Luxe Management Agency and a passionate local business consultant.
Everyone has a story...
But the road to the present was far from easy. The tough times were the fire that fueled my success. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been raised by headstrong parents who understood the value of hard work. It’s thanks to their lessons, sacrifices, and unconditional love that I can call myself a first-generation Latina college graduate and corporate professional.
I pursued my higher education as an adult, while married with 3 children and working full-time. But in line with my fierce Spanish spirit, I wasn’t going to put my dreams on the backburner. So, I swiftly obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration focusing on Health Management from the University of Phoenix. I also hold a Master of Arts in Organizational Management, specializing in Human Resources Management, from Ashford University.
And while all these labels and titles are great, one of the most important things I’ve learned over the years is that you are more than the career accomplishments on your resume. A one-page summary of your education and skills has nothing to do with who you are and what you have to offer.
Today, my wish as a local business consultant is to witness as many entrepreneurs as possible chase their dreams and write a new narrative. Seats at C-Suite tables aren’t a given. They’re not even earned. They’re ready for the taking by those who refuse to wait.
Don’t wait to get a seat at the table.
Make it happen! -Jane
